"Night Trees" - Acrylic impasto on canvas.
This Songscape "Night Trees" is the result of an expressive therapeutic art session. These healing art pieces are created by allowing my mind to focus on the colors I see when listening. Basically, a moving meditation while painting to original music. Color choices and style are inspired solely by the rhythm, melody, and mood of the music. Letting my my hands free flow pushing and manipulating paint with complete freedom from brushes or tools on most Songscapes. If tools are used they are used less like a pint brush and more as percussive tools /drum sticks with paint on them used to hammer on the paint in beat with music.
This form of unconscious expressive form of painting has been healing my heart and hands for two years from the after effects of cancer treatment. The textured layers are created as touchable art that once dry can be used as another form of art therapy. These art pieces are meant to be touched and explored while listening to the music that inspired it. Try viewing these touchable art pieces with eyes closed using your hands only and while listening to the music that inspired it.
This one was inspired by the album meditations by Chris Taylor
